You don't have to go far to get a sense of the mountains! Just outside Borlänge you will find Romme Alpin, which offers 34 runs in all directions and 14 lifts, of which six are 6-seat Expresslifts.

Borlänge municipality offers several cross-country skiing trails, both near the center and a bit outside of town. The most popular place for cross-country skiing is Gyllbergen, Borlänge's largest nature reserve. There are close to 70 km of fine groomed cross-country skiing trails to discover. In Borlänge there are plenty of swimming opportunities during the summer. Both sandy beaches and grass beaches with jetties and barbecue areas are offered here.
